Sport tourism collaboration: a systematic quantitative literature review

The development of sport tourism requires the collaborative engagement sport, tourism, and other diverse sectors stakeholders. Sport collaboration has received much attention from academic scholars. This study conducted a systemic quantitative review collaboration. In total, 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts published in English-language journals between 1996 February 2020 were considered, based on predefined criteria, reviewed order to address several research objectives. More precisely, this was intended systematically quantitatively examine bibliographic information, theoretical frameworks, designs methods, key issues, nature findings selected manuscripts. revealed that wide range less geographically authors along with few field-dedicated scholars engaged publishing outputs terrain substantial number journals. sampled studies qualitative conceptual driven limited use frameworks. also found most focused sporting events, mutual work management-related concepts. Finally, future directions are identified gaps. Notable indicate additional mixed methods is necessary for bringing methodological diversity advancing scholarship more generalised cases. addition, functional level collaboration, design implementation strategy after COVID 19, leadership processes need be examined within established theories various disciplines.
